A fun day out at Catton Hall

Katie on her horse

Dozens of horses and their riders descend on Catton Hall on Sunday 25th September to take part in a fund-raising event organised by a 14-year-old Katie McHardy and along with her mum and dad in support a great day was has by all who attended.

As Katie says, ' I grew up in a family of fund-raisers, and last year decided to call on my friends and organise a charity horse-riding event at Catton Hall and with around 15 riders the event raised a whopping £1,000 for the Maria Hanson Foundation'. With such a great result Katie decided to do the same again this year and again she had a great response from people, with over 25 people taking part.

Katie and her mum would like to thank everyone who turned up to support this event and the small team that helped on the day including Michael (Dad), Samantha Robinson and Michael Rowley who looked after the me&dee stall along with his kids, Chloe and Josh .

Maria would also like to say:

Thank you so very much Katie McHardy, a teenage girl putting on this great equestrian fundraising event, huge thanks to her mom and dad Michael and Claire McHardy for such a huge amount of work, before during and after. Thank you Michael Rowley, Chloe and Josh for manning the stall, and Kath Bates for making it possible for me to have a couple of hours there, and to all taking part X
